Louis L. Nguyen, MD, MBA, MPH

Louis Nguyen, MD, MBA, MPH is faculty in the Department of Surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and associate professor of surgery at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Nguyen’s research is in outcomes translational research where he combines clinical outcomes with economic analysis. His focus is on quantitative modeling of complex socioeconomic factors and interactions in patient care. He is the recipient of an NIH K23 Patient-Oriented Research and Career Development grant to study the effects of diabetes on outcomes after peripheral vascular angioplasty and stenting. His unique education and experiences allow him to bring medical expertise to health economics research and to bring econometric analytical techniques to medical research.
