Melissa Garrido, PhD

Melissa Garrido, PhD, brings expertise in economic analysis and health services research in aging. Her pioneering work centers around the theme of developing and applying rigorous analytic methods to inform policy and resource allocation decisions relevant to older adults. She comes to us from Boston University School of Public Health where she served as Research Professor in the Department of Health Law, Policy and Management. Dr. Garrido is also Director of the Partnered Evidence-Based Policy Resource Center (PEPReC) at the Veterans Health Administration and a Senior Associate Editor at Health Services Research. She received her PhD in Health Service Research, Policy, and Administration from the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities and completed an NIMH postdoctoral traineeship in mental health services research at The Institute for Health, Healthcare Policy and Aging Research at Rutgers University.
