James Fitzgibbon, MD, grew up in Erie, Pennsylvania before attending the University of Pittsburgh for his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences. He subsequently completed his medical education at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is currently a general surgery resident at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. At CSPH his research focus will be in vascular surgery outcomes, specifically looking at anti-inflammatory and anti-thrombotic therapies in peripheral artery disease under the mentorship of Dr. Mohamad Hussain, MD, PhD. In his newly found spare time, he enjoys staying active and rooting for Pittsburgh sports teams.
