Thais Faggion Vinholo, MD, MSc is a Cardiac Surgery resident at Brigham & Women’s Hospital. She was born in Londrina, southern Brazil. She attended Queens University of Charlotte, where she completed a Bachelor of Science. During that time, she did research in neuroengineering that ultimately led to a Master’s Degree at a combined program between Duke University and INN-ELS. She completed her medical degree at Yale University School of Medicine, with research focused on thoracic aortic aneurysm and dissection associated with bicuspid aortic valve. Her work as a CSPH fellow will focus on gender and social disparities within the field of cardiac surgery.
