Education & Professional Development Events
The Center for Surgery and Public Health provides professional development and educational offerings for our faculty, fellows, and research staff as well as a monthly lecture series for the broader surgical health services research community. Our weekly research works-in-progress meetings leverage the diverse expertise of the CSPH community, while our monthly qualitative and quantitative workshops allow our faculty, fellows, and research staff to hone their research skillsets. Every summer, we partner with the HMS Program for Global and Social Change to deliver a four-week course designed to provide incoming and returning research fellows with an introduction to health services research methods and relevant areas of study. The Harvard Surgical HSR Speaker Series is our monthly lecture series, highlighting current and emerging leaders in surgical health services research.
