Alexis Antunez, MD, MS is a general surgery resident at Brigham and Women’s hospital. Lexi is working with Dr. Gerard Doherty during her academic development time to design and implement a novel intervention to increase guideline concordance in the care of small, low risk papillary thyroid cancer. Her work more broadly centers on mixed methods approaches, strategies for de-implementation, and decision analysis. She also has a clinical interest in trauma and acute care surgery. She is enthusiastic about identifying means of improving the quality of patient care while also streamlining provider workflow. Lexi completed her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Michigan Medical School as a Dean’s Scholar, obtained her Masters in Clinical Research from the University of Michigan School of Public Health, and received her Bachelor of Arts in Bioethics from Duke University.
