Benjamin Allar, MD

Dr. Benjamin Allar is a general surgery resident at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) and is a Master of Public Health candidate at the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health. He completed his Doctor of Medicine from Tufts University and his Bachelor of Arts from Connecticut College in Biological Sciences and Religious Studies. He currently serves on the Wellness Committee and House Staff Quality Improvement Council at BIDMC. He is also a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society’s Committee on Public Health. His primary research interests include surgical health disparities, clinician bias, and surgical outcomes In his free time, he enjoys cooking, golfing, and tending to his very small garden.
