Alex Bercow, MD is a gynecologic oncology fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital. She was born and raised in Miami Beach and completed her undergraduate education at Yale University. Prior to completing her medical education at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, she was a biology teacher in New Orleans. She graduated from the combined OB/GYN Residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital this summer. Her primary project at CSPH surrounds national utilization and outcomes of sentinel lymph node dissection in vulvar cancer. Her primary research interest is gynecologic surgical outcomes and hopes to continue investigation through prospective surgical trials in the future. When not working, she and her partner Tony love to go hiking, attend sporting events, and explore the local Boston food scene. She is looking forward to being the first gynecologic oncology fellow at CSPH.
