Center for Surgery and Public Health

The British Journal of Surgery dedicated their latest volume (106) to Global Surgery, including a selection of articles that represent both how far the field as come and how far we still need to go. The CSPH is proud to be represented by two articles showcasing global surgery efforts around surgical site infection in rural Rwanda and research capacity building in Rwanda. Leveraging National Institutes of Health funding, Bethany Hedt-Gauthier, PhD, MPH (HMS); Robert Riviello, MD, MPH (CSPH); Fred Kateera,¬† PhD (PIH); and Theoneste Nkurunziza, MPH (PIH) have worked to advance research capacity while addressing critical local research priorities around antibiotic stewardship and women’s health.
